Yasir Nawaz’s raunchy comedy ‘Wrong Number’ has emerged as a winner on the box office. Tuesday was the ‘biggest day for film’, it collected around Rs 92 lacs since its release on Eid which is around 11-12 per cent more than previous estimates by ARY Films.
Boxoffice detail has reported that the film has earned Rs 3.45 crores and is heading to Rs 4.5 crores mark by the end of this week.
Starring Danish Taimoor and Sohai Ali Abro in the leading roles ‘Wrong Number’ has been called a total ‘paisa wasool movie’ – and shows are being played to packed houses.
The film is performing best in Karachi where it has earned Rs 1 crore.
On the other hand Momina Duraid’s sentimental flick ‘Bin Roye’ has also shown a steady business on box office and pulled in Rs 2.25 crore in five days. The film has received a warm response in Islamabad where it has collected Rs 50 lacs in four days.
Seeing the tremendous success of ‘Wrong Number’ within Pakistan we anticipate that it will receive a positive feedback internationally as film is all set to hit overseas audience with the UK release on July 24 and the USA release August 6 whereas its competitor ‘Bin Roye’ has already received mixed reviews abroad after its screenings in over eight countries.
